Cultivating your Best-Self
What does it mean to be your best self? One thing I know is that it is NOT jumping out of bed everyday with unlimited energy and joy for the world… Instead it is “doing what you can, with what you have, where ever you are“.
It is the daily human battle. It is making the most of the good days, and doing what you can on the bad days. To help me cultivate my best-self I have found the 7 Ls of Life extremely valuable. How do you try and show up each day?
Lead with the heart, find meaning and purpose
Be grateful and appreciative of what life has given us (and take responsibility)
Cultivate presence and mindfulness in the current moment
Connect with others, understand and empathise, sense and respond
Find a sense of play and enjoyment
Evolve and grow, ask why and challenge
Give sustainable effort and build lasting actions
